Kiwanis Youth Programs

From middle school to college, Winchester Kiwanis invests in young leaders — giving students the skills, community, and purpose to make a real difference.

Youth Leadership

Building the Next Generation of Servant Leaders

The Kiwanis family of youth clubs gives young people at every stage of their education the tools, experiences, and community to become confident leaders committed to service. Winchester's current public focus includes Key Club, Builder's Club, Circle K, and scholarships, with other Kiwanis family programs noted for context.

Whether they're packing food bags alongside adult Kiwanis members, leading their own school projects, or organizing service events that impact thousands — Winchester's young people are making a real difference right now.

High School

Key Club — High School Leadership

Key Club is the largest and oldest service program for high school students, and it's run entirely by the students themselves. Members lead community service initiatives, hold elected club positions, and participate in leadership training at local, district, and international levels. The club's three core values are Leadership, Character Building, and Inclusiveness.

James Wood High School

Active Key Club members learn leadership skills by planning and executing community service events for the Frederick County area.

Millbrook High School

Millbrook's Key Club chapter develops student leaders committed to service in the Frederick County community and beyond.

Middle School

Builder's Club — Middle School Service

Builder's Club gives middle school students a chance to get involved in community service before high school. Student members choose their own service projects and causes, building a sense of personal responsibility, teamwork, and community awareness. Our Builder's Clubs regularly participate in Pancake Day and partner with area organizations on projects that matter to them.

Frederick County Middle School

Builder's Club members select and lead community service projects that reflect what matters to their peers and their neighborhood.

James Wood Middle School

Students collaborate on service initiatives and develop the habits of civic engagement that will carry them into Key Club and beyond.

Daniel Morgan Middle School

Daniel Morgan's chapter empowers students to take ownership of their community and develop lasting friendships through shared service.

College Level

Circle K International

Circle K is the collegiate level of the Kiwanis family — bringing the same values of service and leadership to university campuses. Circle K members enjoy social activities, service opportunities, and the chance to build friendships that last long after graduation.

For students who grew up in Key Club or Builder's Club, Circle K is a natural continuation — a chance to keep serving and keep growing at the college level, with the full support of the Kiwanis International network behind them.

Circle K Core Values

Service

Giving back to the campus and broader community through meaningful, student-driven projects

Leadership

Developing the skills and confidence to lead organizations and inspire others at every level

Fellowship

Building deep, lasting friendships through shared values, activities, and commitment to service
